Capitol Clash Super Youth Circuit and Cadet 2013 tournament – Results

DC Fencers Club congratulates our more than 60 youth fencers who competed in over a dozen events in the Capitol Clash Super Youth Circuit and Cadet 2013 tournament, the largest regional youth fencing event in the mid-Atlantic.   A special salute to the ten fencers who won 11 medals (one gold, five bronze, and five more top eight spots).  Beyond those on the medals stand, many more young fencers advanced to the top 16 or 32 in their events.  Well done, all.

A heartfelt thanks to all the parents, coaches, and club mates who provided guidance and support to our young competitors.   Thanks also to our club mates who served as referees in this marathon, three-day event.  Fencing is an individual sport, but it takes a massive amount of teamwork to run a tournament of this size.  Salute!
