Whether you are an elite fencer or a recreational fencer, DCFC welcomes you. For 30 years, DC Fencers Club (DCFC) has consistently produced national and international champions. We polish the skills of fencers who strive to compete at the highest level, and we encourage fencers of all ages and ability levels.
We offer instruction through classes, camps, workshops, and individual lessons. DCFC coaches have a combined 100 years of training, competition, and teaching experience, and they include credentialed fencing masters and National Champions. DC Fencers Club promotes excellence, sportsmanship, and safety in a friendly environment.
DC Fencers Club is located in Silver Spring, just inside the Beltway (495). From the Beltway take Exit 31, Georgia Avenue, and go south. Turn right on Seminary Road; at 2nd Avenue, as the road forks, continue straight on Linden Avenue. In three blocks, turn left onto Fraser Avenue (a small industrial park). Turn right into the parking area for DC Fencers Club. Ample parking is available. Please see the map on the “Contact” page for additional directions.

Hours
Monday – Friday, 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm (open fencing and various classes, see schedule for details).
Saturdays, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (beginner sabre and epee classes, see schedule for details).
DC Fencers Club is officially closed on Federal holidays and there are no classes or private lessons although informal bouting may take place. The club also follows the Federal government for weather-related closings.
Facility and Services
DC Fencers club is a dedicated fencing facility. This facility features 10 full-sized electric fencing strips on a sprung wooden floor. Club amenities also include an armory and a locker room with lockers available for rent. A shower is also available to members. Club gear and weapons are available for use in beginner classes and camps.
The DCFC armorer is available to repair weapons and custom build weapons to order. Armory clinics are held on a regular basis to educate fencers on weapon maintenance and repair.
The club features a lounge area for parents, guests, and fencers. Ample parking is available. Free Wi-Fi is available in the club.
Membership
Membership benefits include full access to the club, open bouting, a complimentary Monday footwork class, access to a range of classes, camps, and clinics, armory, and locker room services. DCFC members have ample opportunities to fence both recreational and competitive fencers of all ages in a friendly, safety-minded, and courteous environment. Merchandise
DC Fencers Club offers in-stock and custom-order fencing equipment and gear for epee and sabre, including uniforms, masks, gloves, cords, fencing bags, club jackets and t-shirts, and more. Custom-made weapons are available on order.
Code of Conduct
All DC Fencers Club members, students, visitors, and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous, sportsmanlike, and safety-conscious manner at all times, and to show respect for each other, coaches, and opponents, as well as the facility and equipment. Anyone who is found to be in violation of this code of conduct may be asked to leave the club at the sole discretion of the coaches. DC Fencers Club is a Safe Sport compliant organization.
