There are a range of competitive opportunities for fencers of all ages and ability levels around the Washington, DC area, and beyond. The larger regional and national events come with their own acronyms, including: RYC=Regional Youth Circuit (Y10, Y12, Y14) SYC=Super Youth Circuit (basically a bigger RYC) RJCC=Regional Junior Cadet Circuit (U19, U16) and ROC=Regional Open Circuit (14 and up).
These events can qualify you for some National Championships and are generally excellent competitive experiences.

USA Fencing hosts registration information on international, national, and regional circuit events for all age groups and skill levels.
When you search for tournaments, remember to select the appropriate weapon, gender and age. Usually the registration deadline is two weeks before the event.
