Lifelong sport, lifelong results: Team USA earns 20 medals at Vet Worlds

Fencing is a lifelong sport, and Team USA showed their prowess at the 2016 Veteran World Championships in Stralsund, Germany with medal number 20 in Vet Team Women’s Sabre.

A grand salute to Jane Eyre (Woolwich Township, N.J.), who won her fourth straight gold medal in Vet 60-69 Women’s Sabre at the 2016 Vet Worlds. Eyre is the most decorated veteran fencer in Team USA history.

We also salute DCFC member Valerie Asher, who earned her fourth trip to Vet Worlds, competing in the Vet 50 epee event. Asher won bronze in the Vet 50 epee event in 2012.

Another salute goes out to DCFC member Jim Adams, who served as Team Captain for Team USA at Vet Worlds. Jim Adams has represented Team USA 14 times, and has medaled in both foil and epee.
