A new crop of refs trained at DCFC friendly tournament
This three-weapon friendly tournament on Sunday, March 4 was an opportunity to review new referees who took part in the March 3 referee clinic with Matt Cox.
We salute all the referees in training. You are absolutely critical to growing the sport of fencing. We also thank the Capitol Division for organizing this training, and Friends of DCFC for sponsoring the training tournament.
A special salute to Matt Cox, who led this weekend’s training. Matt is a Certified Referee Instructor from Oxford, NC, and holds an international license in both sabre and epee, and has refereed at many Grand Prix and World Cup events, and North American Cups. We are grateful that you could share your knowledge with a new crop of referees. Thank you!
