The eleventh annual Amazon Open was a celebration of fabulous, fearless women! Thanks to the tournament founder Valerie Asher, to our meet manager and team, to our sharp-dressed refs, and of course to our friends and family for supporting the women athletes in your lives!
We saw some world-class fencing on Sunday, and we salute all the fencers, especially those who traveled from as far as Boston, Cleveland and St. Louis to compete with us.
DCFCers earned medals and top eight spots in both the Senior Women’s Epee and Sabre events. Kudos to Margherita Guzzi Vincenti, Amanda Sirico, Sizov, Katherine, and Rebecca Chimahusky, on earning gold, silver, sixth and seventh place, respectively.

In women’s sabre, we salute DCFC’s Lillie Lainoff, back for the summer from Yale University, on winning silver in Senior Women’s Sabre. Brook Sirico took bronze in the same event, and Laura Johnson took eighth place.
