DCFC Fencers Medal at the March Champagne Challenge
DCFC members represented at the latest Champagne Challenge, comprising half of the contestants at this Mixed Open Epee event held March 4, 2012 at DC Fencers Club. Fencers from 16 clubs, some as far as southern Virginia and New York City, competed in this event.
Congratulations to all our fencers, and a salute to those who made the top eight. Alec Walker earned the silver in a nail biter of a final versus Ben Russell of Ligonier Fencing Club, where Alec scored several touches in the last minute of the bout.
