In gratitude: John McNamara
DC Fencers Club offers its condolences on the untimely passing of John McNamara, an editor with the Capital Gazette/Bowie Blade-News in Annapolis, Maryland. McNamara covered Maryland regional sports for the Gazette for more than two decades, and authored two books on University of Maryland football and basketball. He took an avid and sustained interest in the career of Olympic hopeful Amanda Sirico. We salute McNamara for sharing our stories, and we honor his priceless journalistic contributions to our community.
