New Year, new medals for DCFC at January North American Cup
DCFC is ringing in the new year with gold, silver and bronze from the first North American Cup of 2019, held January 4-7 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
We salute Peter Souders on earning gold in Div 1 Men’s Sabre. Congratulations to Valerie Asher, Rebecca Chimahusky, Marie Lawson on winning silver in Senior Women’s Team Epee. Team anchor Rebecca made an impressive 10-point comeback in the last bout, with a final score of 34-35 against Northwestern University. Well done, ladies! Dahyun Kang took her highest result at a NAC so far, with bronze in the Div 1 Women’s Epee Classification event. Isaac Shelanski took a top eight (7th place) in the Div I Men’s Epee event, and many of his clubmates advanced to the top 64 in this and other events at the NAC.
