November North American Cup Results
DC Fencers Club sent several competitors to the November North American Cup in St. Louis, MO, last weekend. They also witnessed the new USA Fencing logo, part of a brand refresh for the 2016 Olympic season.
DCFC congratulations to Isaac Shelanski, who advanced to the top 16 (15) in Junior Men’s Epee, out of a monster field of 225 fencers. Jacob Asch also took ninth place in Junior Men’s Sabre after a close 14-15 bout against Agoston Walter.
We salute Justin Haddad on earning a top 32 spot (23) in Y-14 Men’s Epee
Kudos to Sam Cohen on climbing to the top 64 (38) in Cadet Men’s Sabre, and to Meghan Sirico who also made the top 64 (54) in Cadet Women’s Epee. We also salute Sam Dietrich on advancing to the top 64 (41) in Cadet Men’s Epee. A tip of the hat to Yunice Pyo and Nirali Igoe on advancing to the top 64 in Y-14 Women’s Epee, at 33 and 48th place, respectively.
