DC Fencers Club salutes Amanda Sirico on winning gold in both the individual and team events at the Grenoble Cadet European Epee Cup. On Saturday, November 24, Sirico took the gold in Cadet (under 17) Women's Epee, advancing past nearly 200 fencers from 16 nations.
The very next day, Amanda Sirico, Madeline Kehl, Catherine Nixon, and Charlene Liu represented Team USA 1 and won the gold in the Cadet Team Women's Epee event, which featured 17 teams from 10 nations.
For Sirico, this marks a breakout year for results on the international circuit. This first-ever international gold in Grenoble follows shortly after her first-ever international medal, when she took silver at the Klagenfurt Cadet European Epee Cup in Austria on October 27-28, 2012
