USA Fencing Mandates Club Closures Through April 6

As a further precaution for the health and safety of the fencing community, USA Fencing today notified member clubs, including DCFC, to suspend all activities for the next three weeks through at least April 6.

As a result, DC Fencers Club will be closed through April 6 and will not offer any activities, group classes, or individual lessons at this time.

USA Fencing, the national governing body of fencing in the U.S., will revisit this timeframe within the coming weeks, and keep member clubs updated with changes.

An excerpt from the USA Fencing memo:

Over the past few days, many of you have chosen to suspend classes at your clubs and, although we know these decisions were heart-wrenching, the fencing community as well as the local, national and international communities at large, becomes a safer place the more precautions we take to protect each other.

We will continue to share news on the club status as the situation progresses. Thank you.
