SILVER SPRING, MD – Looking for a new sport for yourself or your child?   Salute the New Year with the ancient art and sport of fencing at DC Fencers Club.  Fencing is a lifetime sport that promotes fitness, confidence, discipline, and good sportsmanship.  Students of all shapes, sizes, and ages can learn fencing, which relies on mental skill as well as athletic ability.

DC Fencers Club offers instruction in epee and sabre.  Epee (pronounced “eh-PAY”) means sword in French, and this fencing weapon is based on the rapier, the traditional dueling weapon seen brandished in movies like The Three Musketeers.  The sabre is descended from the slashing cavalry sword.
