Young competitors Fight it with Fencing
Thanks to all the young competitors who showed up to Fight it with Fencing, a tournament held on Sunday, May 6 to benefit Children’s Hospital. The tournament was hosted by Friends of DCFC, a nonprofit which supports aspiring competitive fencers.
Kudos to Justin Haddad and Yunice Pyo for organizing this charity event, which raised more than $3,000 for Children’s Hospital DC. The Hospital donated prizes, including coffee mugs and other gifts.

Springtime tourneys at DCFC
There are eight more tournaments at DCFC between now and the end of the season. Friends of DCFC is sponsoring three of these; a May 25 Friday night Div3 Mixed Epee event, a June 3 Team Challenge (with Men’s and Women’s Epee events), and a June 8 Friday night Y14 Mixed Epee Challenge.
